Sentral Parent Portal

Spring Parks PS uses the Sentral for Parents portal and app to help keep you connected to your child’s education. When your child starts at Spring Parks PS, a letter will be sent home with details on how to access your account. If you have not received your letter, or no longer have access to your login details, please contact your child’s teacher or the office staff at either campus.

Features include a newsfeed, access to attendance information, recording absences, and the ability to access reports online.

Before & After School Care

School Supervision Hours

Supervision of students is provided from 8.45 a.m. until 3.30 p.m. on school days. Students on site outside of these times need to be supervised by a parent or carer, or attending the OSH Program or Breakfast Club. For further information on these services please see below or contact our Admin Staff at either campus.

TheirCare offers a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where children build friendships, develop life skills, and grow in confidence and creativity through play-based programs.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club is run on both campuses. Volunteers run the program in the mornings and children are offered a drink, toast, and cereal. Children who arrive at school early must stay at Breakfast Club until 8:45 a.m. Breakfast is served until 8:50 a.m. to enable children to have enough time to eat and then pack up and not arrive late to class.

Breakfast club starts at 8.30 a.m. in the Art Room at West, and in the LEC at Valley.

 

School Council

The school council is responsible for the management of the school, including finances, buildings, grounds and equipment. The school council reports to parents through a formal written report and an annual meeting, as well as articles in the newsletter. School council elections are held each year, usually in March. School Council is made up of elected parents, elected teachers, the Principal and provision for 2 co-opted members. Any parent of a child at the school can be nominated for school council.

Multicultural Education Aides

We provide multi-cultural Support Staff for our students and community. Our staff come from diverse backgrounds, including Cambodian, Vietnamese, Indian, Sri Lankan, and Chinese backgrounds. Due to the diversity of our community all communication is available in a variety of languages. We also have Educational Support Staff who are available to assist parents with an interpreting service.

Interpreters

Interpreters are available for all school events, information nights, prep transition sessions, parent/teacher interviews, workshops and for conversations concerning your child. We also provide multi-cultural aides for children as required. Please contact the office for further information.
