Noble Park Art Show

On Friday 19th October the Noble Park Community Centre Art Show commenced with students and members of the local community being invited to the official opening.

During this time the opportunity to view all the great work developed by students from primary and secondary schools along with community members were available. The range of artwork was impressive and I would like to thank the Art teachers who worked with the students to create their pieces for display. They also spent some time down at the Noble Park Community Centre working on displaying the work of our students.

I would like to say congratulations to Michaela who was presented with an Encouragement Award along with receiving a prize for her artwork. Well done!

Sporting News

We took our softball team to the Division Finals last Thursday at Silverton Primary School. The results were 12 to 3 against Clayton South Primary School and our boys team won. They will now play in the regional final on November 7th. Well done team! Good luck with your next game.

School Review

As most families know, our school is currently reviewing our progress over the past four years – measured against our School Strategic Plan. We held a Validation Day on October 25th, where our school reviewer, our School Education Improvement Leader, our School Council President, two local Principals and our School Improvement Team met for the day to begin the review. All of the work beforehand, and over the next couple of weeks will culminate in our new School Strategic Plan which will set our direction for the next four years. Our new plan will be presented to School Council early in 2019.

Term 4 Curriculum Day

Don’t forget that this Monday (5th November) will be a curriculum day, so no children will be attending school. Staff will be busy working on curriculum matters. Also, please remember that Tuesday (6th November) is Melbourne Cup Holiday, so the school will be closed.

Term 4 Reminders

As usual, term four brings out the sun, so families are reminded that all children will require a school hat to be worn outside during Physical Education lessons and all breaks. Only our blue school hats are permitted as they offer the best protection from the sun. The Office has a small supply of hats, but if the size you want isn’t available, you will need to visit Primary School Wear (PSW) to buy one.

We will also have icy-poles available for sale each Wednesday for 50c each.
