Mother’s Day Breakfast

There are some photos in this newsletter from our Mother’s Day breakfast last week. There was a fantastic turn out of mothers, grandmas, aunties and female friends. The children were very excited to be able to share a meal with their invited guest. Thank you for coming along, and if you weren’t able to make it this year, please try and attend in 2019 and be treated to a wonderfully freshly cooked breakfast! A special thank you to all of the staff for coming to school much earlier than usual to help cook, serve and clean up afterwards. This was a really successful Spring Parks Community event. Dads – keep August 31st free for your school breakfast.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Families will have received a notice in regards to our parent/teacher interviews which will be held on Thursday, June 28th. If you could please return your preferred time as soon as you can, so that your first choice can be accommodated. We would love to see as many families as possible attend the interview with their child’s teacher/s.

Open Night – Thank you!

Congratulations everyone on another successful Spring Parks event! We would like to thank all the students, parents and family members who came to our Open Nights supporting The Arts. We saw lots of children and adults participate on creative arts activities.

We would also like to acknowledge the Specialist Team who put together a great evening. Your work on bringing this together to highlight the arts for Education Week is very much appreciated. The LEC was definitely transformed into an art gallery and the parents and students were incredibly proud of the artwork on display. Thank you also to the choir who sounded great and we’re sure their confidence will continue to soar as they have opportunities to perform to a wider audience. Thank you to all the staff who supported tonight through creating artwork and/or by staying late to mix with the school community.

Parents, Carers & Friends Activity Group

We are a group of mums, grandparents and community members who get together each week and enjoy activities like cooking, gardening and other things that help support the children, staff and community at our school!

This term, we will be continuing our cooking adventures – everyone is encouraged to share their recipes and cooking skills! We will be baking for special events such as Mother’s Day and cooking special treats and meals for the staff. We may be doing some cooking with some of the students too.
